This Privacy Policy explains how DotAI — a customer-messaging platform operated by CodeRythm ("DotAI", "we", "us", "our") — collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use our websites, apps and services, including DotAI Agent (AI chatbot), DotAI Desk (WhatsApp team inbox & broadcasts) and DotAI Gateway (multi-channel messaging API). It also describes how we handle data accessed through the WhatsApp Business Platform and other Meta APIs. By using DotAI you agree to the practices described here.
DotAI is operated by Coderythm Technology Private Limited, registered at 1st Floor, 37/24 M, Calicut Business Center, Kallai, Kozhikode, Kerala 673003, India, serving businesses primarily across the United Arab Emirates, the wider GCC and India. This policy applies to the DotAI websites at dotai.chat and to the DotAI Agent, Desk and Gateway applications.
When you connect a WhatsApp Business account (or other Meta channel) to DotAI, you authorise us — through Meta's official APIs and the permissions you grant, including whatsapp_business_management and whatsapp_business_messaging — to access and process data on your behalf and at your direction, such as: your WhatsApp Business Account and phone-number details, message templates, and the messages, contacts and delivery/read status exchanged with your customers.
The same applies when you connect a Facebook Messenger Page or an Instagram professional account — using permissions such as pages_messaging, pages_manage_metadata, pages_show_list, instagram_business_basic and instagram_business_manage_messages: we access and process the messages, contacts and delivery/read status exchanged with your customers on those channels only on your behalf and at your direction, under the same terms set out below.
We use this data only to provide the DotAI service you have asked for — sending and receiving messages, broadcasts and templates, routing conversations to your team, and reporting. We do not sell WhatsApp or Meta data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your business content or customer messages to train public/third-party AI models. Our handling of this data complies with the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy, the Meta Platform Terms and Meta's Developer Policies.
We share information only with service providers (sub-processors) who help us run DotAI, when required by law, or with your consent. These include Meta Platforms (WhatsApp/Instagram/Messenger delivery), cloud infrastructure and database providers (e.g. Cloudflare, Supabase/Neon), email delivery (Resend), analytics (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, Cloudflare Web Analytics) and payment processors (e.g. Stripe). We do not sell your personal information or your customers' data.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it. You can delete contacts, conversations and content from within the product, and you can ask us to delete your account data (see below).
You may request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data — including data we processed from the WhatsApp Business Platform — by emailing privacy@dotai.chat from your account email. We will verify and action verified requests within a reasonable time. Deleting your DotAI workspace removes the associated business content, contacts and conversations from our active systems, subject to limited legal/backup retention.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, encryption of stored credentials, and access controls — to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We operate globally and may process information in countries other than yours. Where we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable law.
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site and understand usage, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (Google), Microsoft Clarity (product-usage insights, including session replay and heatmaps) and Cloudflare Web Analytics. These providers may set cookies and process usage data (such as pages viewed, interactions and approximate location) as our processors; see Google's and Microsoft's privacy statements. You can control cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some features.
DotAI is a business product not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
